Best for allergies?

Allergies are no fun. Which options work best for those of us who are plagued by allergies? Are there any materials that I should try to avoid using?

It might be best to forgo fabric drapes in this situation since they tend to harbor dust mites and pet dander. Maybe some colorful blinds or shades would be a better fit.

I would say that it depends on what you are allergic to. I have severe allergy issues but only to certain things. If you are allergic to dust mites, like I am, anything on your window will collect it. I think curtains would be better, only because you can wash them.
