Bracket pulling out
Quote from hanna on August 20, 2020, 8:32 pmWhen we first installed our new blinds they looked great. Our cat has decided to climb up the curtains and into the blinds. The brackets have pulled out of the walls. It's plaster, we are going to hang drywall soon. How can I put the brackets up and keep them from pulling out, until then?

Quote from workerbb on August 22, 2020, 11:17 amAre you trying to put the brackets in the same holes that they are pulling out of? You would need to use the anchors if you are. I would try to move them a little. You can still use the tool to get them even though.

Quote from EmoryB on August 25, 2020, 3:45 amDo you have the option of drilling into the studs instead of drywall? If not, workerbb has a good idea about using anchors, like a standard toggle bolt or a snaptoggle bolt. You should also consider changing the curtains or making them less desirable to the cats if you can. Those anchors are strong, but I'm not sure that they're meant to withstand swinging cats.

Emory has a great point, swinging cats aren't good for any curtains or brackets. You'll have an issue even with drywall.

You may need a firm rivet type fitting. Do not use the same holes. Consider filling the holes left using filler or cement. Once filled, you can now drill new holes.
Also, you may need smooth curtains, that the cats cannot use for climbing.
