What color should the outside of blackout curtains be?

This may be a weird question, but what is the suggested color for the outside of a blackout curtain? The reason I ask, because usually anything black, tends to retain heat, while doesn't retain the heat as well. So would a white outside be ideal so that it wouldn't collect heat so well?
Or does it matter? Would it make much of a difference?

Your blackout curtain will already remove light, so if you want to apply a white backing to repel heat it's completely possible. This process will work as long as you like the look.
