Chores you outsource?

I'm all about DIY, but there are some chores that I'd rather outsource than try to complete myself. One of those is hanging wallpaper. I have done it in the past and it's just too tedious for me. I hired pros the next time, and they got it done in no time at all. Plus, it was perfectly straight.

I usually hire someone to do work outside of my house such as: cleaning the gutters, raking the leaves, and shoveling snow. I'm not lazy, but those tasks take some energy and I'm getting older. When you get around my age, you have to make sure you aren't straining yourself as much.

I don't hire many things out, none that I can think of. I hate putting up wallpaper but I do it if necessary. Matching the strips is a real pain. I had an aunt who was a master at this. I wish she was still alive.

Electrical work. Basic stuff inside the house is fine, but if I have to add a breaker to the box because of upgrades in the house.......I'm calling that one out.

Well we used to outsource electrical and plumbing jobs but no more. We use YouTube and have learned so much. Any major electrical projects we do hire out, but we handle the small ones. We redid all the plumbing in one bathroom too. It took a lot of videos but we got it.

I struggle with painting, so I hire it out sometimes. I have two small children, and painting with little ones is difficult! I also hire out the electrical and plumbing. I hope that as my kids get older, I'll be able to take on more projects myself and not hire them out.  😆

I'm going to let a professional handle chores like plumbing and electrical. Even with the help of YouTube videos, I'd be so worried that I'd mess something up! I'd rather pay someone to get it done right the first time!

I can handle some electric work, but I'm not going to wire the whole house. I can handle some plumbing work, but I'm not going to set it up for the whole house. I will install receptacles and toilets any day of the week. Small jobs are always fine, but I'm going to outsource the big stuff.
