Open-concept and WFH
I love my open-concept layout because I can entertain guests and keep an eye on the kids while I'm cooking. However, it's not the most compatible floor plan when you're working from home and the kids are doing online learning. What can I do to make things functional for us? I don't want to make any permanent changes.
Wow, this one is tough. You can try using screens and other room dividers to create a sense of privacy. An assortment of storage containers could help keep things tidy. Definitely invest in some great headphones so you can tune out the surrounding noise. I hope you find something that works for your family!
I think I'd turn my bedroom into a bedroom/office if I had to. I'd get a sound machine to block out the noise and would add a small desk to work on. I couldn't work in the same room as my children while they were having school. I would spend too much time helping them, which wouldn't benefit anyone in the long run.
Oh yeah, that's a tough one. I would probably try to set up my office in a different room. It would be too loud and confusing to be in the same area. If you can't do this, then I would get those privacy curtains.
