DIY bathroom vanity/sink
We are in the process of redoing a small bathroom in our cabin. I want to build a vanity. I would like to make it with vintage wood, kind of perfect for a cabin. Anyone do this before? Where can I look for plans? Any tips on this would be welcomed.

I've put in the boxy part and sink, but I've never done the inside plumbing. If you're replacing another vanity, then it shouldn't be difficult since the inner plumbing is already there. Instructables and Bob Villa both have websites that are filled with step-by-step plans. I look at their stuff all the time. Maybe those websites could be a good resource for you too.
So, are you going to use reclaimed wood to create the look? New lumber seems to be at a premium these days, but reclaimed wood isn't always easy to find.
Reclaimed wood sounds interesting. You could also try using pallets. I have seen a few tables and nightstands built with them. A vanity would be cool if you started with a nightstand plan. I love the sinks that sit on the top (square sink). This way you aren't wasting drawer space.

I never thought of using reclaimed wood or pallets! I'll have to look into them for sure. I think either would give it a rustic look. I definitely want the square sit on sink.
