Mounting A Flatscreen TV

Recently, a friend brought me a 4k resolution TV as an early Christmas present. I want to mount the TV to a wall in my room, but I fear the wall may not be sturdy enough to hold the TV up. Does anyone know how I can get this done without spending a ton of money? I would like to have it up before New Years'.

I bet it would be fine as it is, but if you're really worried, you could always add some thick plywood (anchor it into the studs) and hang the TV on that.
