Refinishing wood floors
I am so excited! We tore out some old carpet in our living room and there is wood underneath! I can't wait to see what we can do with it. We are renting a sander for the weekend to try to refinish these wood planks by ourselves! Wish us luck! Any tips?
I see I'm too late to give tips so I'll ask how it turned out? We did this once and it was a hard project! We actually sanded a bit too much in the corner (pushed too hard). We put a table over it to cover the mistake. We learned quickly that the best way to accomplish this was to move swiftly over the floor.
What a hard but accomplished job. When you finish you will love it. What are you finishing the floor with? Are you staining it or just putting a clear coat on it? I love real hardwood floors.
