Tile or Quartz?

I'm getting ready to make some changes in my kitchen, and the first of those changes is my countertops. Currently, I have outdated wood countertops. I'd like to replace them with either Tile or Quartz. I'm leaning towards Quartz because I heard the material is more sturdy and will last longer. Can anyone offer some advice?

I have tile countertops and I regret going with that option. They're heat-resistant countertops, which is great. I can pop a pan right down on them and not have to worry about the heat causing any damage. They're just hard to keep clean, and they show every scratch. It's not ideal in a household with kids who like to bake and cook too.
