Which type of blind do you prefer?
I’m getting ready to update the blinds that were left here when I bought my home, and I was trying to figure out what direction may be best for me and how I want to take care of things. I’ve found both vinyl and aluminum options that I’ve liked, but I’m not sure if one is better than the other. Any tips?
Aluminum blinds are probably going to cost more, but they last for ages and some varieties will even help with heat control. They're also more resistant to mildew. On the other hand, vinyl blinds are probably less expensive and easier to find at your local store. They're also easier to clean. Both aluminum and vinyl blinds come in different colors. So, are you planning to go with your standard white blinds, or are you going for something more colorful?
It depends on the room. In the bathroom, blinds. In the living room, curtains. But don't overdo it on the curtains and get lots of ruffles or something that will be quickly outdated.
