Yay or nay to Contractors
I have had a fair experience with contractors throughout the years. Most of them were below average at best in their performance. That is why I choose to do most projects myself if possible. What experiences have you all had with contractors? Were they competent, or did they not meet expectations?
I have had many great experiences and a few bad experiences with contractors. My brother is a general contractor and he is great. He gives us a lot of great tips when we need it. I've heard a lot of horror stories from bad contractors too.
I've been pretty lucky with finding licensed contractors who show up on time, do a stellar job, and deliver on what they've promised. I usually ask friends and family for recommendations and it's worked out great so far. It also opens the conversation for whom I should absolutely avoid.
I agree with that statement 100% Miranda. I always reach out to my friends and family for their opinion or recommendation on who to hire too. Word of mouth is the best way to find out about contractors.
