New kitchen
Our next big project is going to be our kitchen. A total rip out and redo. I have been leaning towards white cupboards and gray counter tops. My husband doesn't think it will look clean or stay clean. Thoughts?
I think white is a very "clean" look but will it stay clean? Do you have young children? I have seen some pretty neat gray cupboards, I love that look. I think you just have to go with something you both like. Are you two doing this big project yourself or hiring it out?
We are planning on doing it ourselves with the help of some family. Yes, that's why I like white because it looks clean, chic. We do have young kids but I think it would still be fine.
Get paint that has an eggshell finish so you can wipe off the food and grime from your cabinets without ruining the paint. I don't think it will get that dirty either. Children can be taught to wash their hands before getting into the cabinets. They should do that anyway.
@Vintage - I completely agree. Children can be taught to be clean and respectful of everything.
I love the idea of a white kitchen. I was thinking of doing the same, white with gray counters.
