Your thoughts on Wallpaper?

12

Without a doubt, wallpapers are a great way to transform your walls. But just like Nancymac rightly pointed out, it might not always be the right choice for everyone.

I was this close to decorating my office with wallpapers a year ago but decided to opt-out at the very last minute. Apart from the plenty of time I knew it will take to fix it, the lack of experience was the primary reason I opted out. Getting it right needs savviness. I might go for it in the future.

Am also considering a wallpaper instead of painting my wall next time. I guess they look good. Only that you have to really take your time to choose the best that matches your existing furniture. Or one that will not clash so much with your existing sets.

That is usually the challenge....selecting the best fit for your house. Am considering the ones that looks like bricks.

Well , I myself am a big fan of wallpapers in home. They're cheap , beautiful , and have vast variety in them.

Well one good thing about the wallpapers are that they can be modified and changed with no difficulties.

Wallpaper can add an instant new look to any room and change the atmosphere of the room.

It is a also a very tedious task to renovate and replace if a new tenant does not like it but easy to replace.

I like the idea of wallpaper on one wall to give it focus, but be careful about the type you might choose, as removal may damage the wall.

I totally agree with you, Nancy! Wallpapers are very interesting as compared to paint and gives a flawless instant look to any room of our house. Currently, I am in process of renovating my house and I have selected a floral print wallpaper for my living room wall behind the sofa. It cost me 2.90$ per sq. ft.

Additionally, if I had gone for paint, possibly it'd have been cost high.

I always felt that wallpaper is the perfect choice for people who don't like to change things up too often. I find it easier to repaint one every few years than to rehang wallpaper.

You do have more color/pattern options with the paper though.

I'm not a fan of wallpaper. I've had several bad experiences when taking it down and the wall getting damaged. I prefer to paint the walls when I need a change. Also, with painting, I don't have to worry about lining up sheets of wallpaper perfectly!
